Register for 10th grade Confirmation:
All Class Meetings listed above will be held in the St. Genevieve Family Center from 4:15 – 5:45 p.m., followed by Mass at 6:00 p.m. in Church. Students will dismiss from in front of the Family Center. If your child will be driving, you must submit an email to Jessica Harvey ([email protected]) saying that your child may leave without a parent to pick him/her up. All other students must have a parent pick them up in carline in front of the Family Center after Mass. Any child not going to Mass must be picked up by a parent between 5:45 – 5:55 p.m. from the Family Center.
All C2C (Closer to Christ) Youth Ministry Nights are optional attendance and begin at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Genevieve Family Center, directly following the 6:00 p.m. Mass. These nights are monthly and will include guest speakers on relevant topics, fellowship, snacks, prayer and discussion. We encourage all youth in 9th – 12th grade to participate in this faith experience with their peers.
All Adoration Hours/Assignments (see Adoration Reflection Guide given to students on first day of class) are required and to be done on the student’s time whenever he or she would like to do them. They may adore at the Two Hearts Chapel on the Nicholls Campus (open 24 hours a day), at the Christ the Redeemer Chapel (open 7 am – 7 pm daily), or at any other Catholic church or chapel that has Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament available.
The make-up policy is as follows: We will record the teaching presentation each week. Students who miss class must come to the office to watch the video, answer the discussion questions in writing that were shared in small group and turn them in to the Director of Formation Ministries (Jessica) or the Youth Minister (Brandi). This make-up session must be completed before the next Confirmation class as the info will build on what they learned the previous week. Someone will be available if they have any questions or would like to share their thoughts. We will not, under any circumstances, be releasing the videos publicly or emailing them to anyone, as the goal is for our students to come on Sundays and miss as little as possible to be able to benefit from their small group community and discussion with their peers and mentors. Students (or parents of those students) who miss must schedule the student’s make-up session with Jessica or Brandi at the Church Office. Make-up sessions can be scheduled during the day after school or on an evening or weekend pending staff availability.
(NOTE: 6:00 p.m. Mass attendance is not required if your family goes to Mass at a different time. Families are invited to come to 6:00 p.m. Mass with their child for both Class Meeting Nights and C2C Nights.)
Fall 2024-2025 10th & 11th graders - please watch the video for changes effective Spring 2023.

Confirmation is about TRANSFORMATION not GRADUATION.
The Sacrament of Confirmation "deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world. . . . We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service" (from the United States Catholic Catechism for adults).
We desire to journey with each teen to deepen their relationship with God through knowledge and understanding as well as experiences and encounters. Our focus will continue to be on your teen as well as your family since we are absolutely confident that your relationship with God can and will have a positive impact in your life and the life of your family.
